This month we added a contact_direct_dial_phone to 150,276 records and contact_professional_email_validation_status = Valid to 966,591 contacts. February is a short month but we were able to see improvements in net new contacts and job titles as well. However, our main focus was on company data.
In February, 29,564,306 of our companies were assigned at least one phone number. That is up 10% from October when 26,709,385 were assigned a phone number. This is due to an emphasis on coverage and quality as we have taken steps to identify better, more distinct phone numbers for our companies.
Adding Contact Headline to Contact Data Append: We are adding contact_headline to Contact Data Appending! The contact_headline is a field that often combines the title and employer of a contact into one and is very well populated. This month, 586,661,697 contacts have a populated contact_headline compared to 474,449,123 with a job title and 479,962,650 with an employer. So if you are an API user, please prepare for this addition.
New Fields in Company Data Flat File: This month we have added ip_addresses to the company flat file for 51,518,479 records. The ip_addresses are identified by a DNS Look Up of the company's website. API and platform users have already been exposed to this feature.
Product Updates:
- Social Criteria: We have added a new tile to limit results to contacts that have an assigned Social Media handle or minimum number of followers / connections.
- Company Website Required: Limits results to contacts or companies with a website.
- Revenue Bands: Now we are providing the ability to search below $1,000,000 in revenue. This is applied to both contact and company list building.
- Email Validation: There is now the ability to validate an email address without uploading it into the system. This feature is for one-off real-time validations and does not cost a credit.
- My Leads: We have replaced Ice Breakers with a prepopulated hyperlink to Alerts, which is identified with a newspaper icon. After selecting / clicking the newspaper icon - you will be directed to the Alerts UI with timely and informative news articles about the employer from My Leads.
Coming Soon:
Deprecation of fields in the Company Data set: sic_code_6 and sic_code_6_desc. These fields haven't been populated in some time, so they will be removed in Q2.
Adding fields to the Company Data set: affiliate_type. A company record is assigned the entity_type of Affiliate if it shares a root domain with its parent company. This includes redirected websites, where the original domain was at one time distinct, but the target domain (or destination URL/site) is shared with its parent.
In instances where we identify a redirected website through our company crawl, we will place the original domain in other_websites and the destination domain in the website field. While this is very helpful in terms of connecting older websites to their current domain, we will identify these records with an affiliate_type of redirected_website in the near future. We also plan to identify affiliate_types with shared email properties and social media handles.
