The RampedUp MCP Server lets you use RampedUp Global Contact Data and Business Intelligence inside your favorite AI tool. It exposes a set of skills you can use to build net-new data sets or to enrich existing lists with clean, web-sourced data.
The server's MCP endpoint is https://mcp.rampedup.io/mcp. It authenticates with your RampedUp API token, and each skill lines up with a RampedUp API endpoint — so a successful result decrements credits exactly as the matching API call would. Skills that return a redacted or preview record let you check the data before you spend a credit on the full one.
Setting up the MCP server
Any MCP-capable assistant connects the same way: point it at the RampedUp server and authenticate with your API token. The exact menu names differ by app and version, but the two things you need never change — the server URL https://mcp.rampedup.io/mcp and your RampedUp API token.
- Get your API token. In your RampedUp account, open Admin → API Key (basic.rampedup.io/app/admin/apikey) and copy your API token. The token identifies your account and is how usage is credited. If you do not have an account and want to set up a trial at no cost, sign up here for free.
- Add the server. In your AI tool, add a custom MCP server — sometimes called a connector — with the URL https://mcp.rampedup.io/mcp.
- Authenticate. Provide your RampedUp API token when the client asks for the server's credentials.
- Enable the skills you want, then prompt your assistant normally. It will call the RampedUp skills when they fit the task, and successful results draw down your credits.
In Claude (Pro or Max)
Quickest route: open RampedUp in the Claude connector directory and follow the prompts to add it, then supply your RampedUp API key. To set it up by hand instead, use the steps below.
Custom connectors are available on Claude's Pro and Max plans. On Team and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector once under Organization settings, and then each member connects it.
- Open Settings, then Connectors (under Customize).
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Enter a name — for example, RampedUp — and the remote MCP server URL https://mcp.rampedup.io/mcp.
- Open Request headers and add your RampedUp API token as the credential Claude sends on every request (a bearer token). Because the server authenticates with the token, you can leave OAuth sign-in set to "No sign in."
- Click Add.
- To use it, open a chat, click the + button at the lower left, choose Connectors, and toggle RampedUp on for that conversation.
Menu labels shift between app versions and plans, but the essentials do not: point the client at https://mcp.rampedup.io/mcp, authenticate with your RampedUp API token, and make sure the server is reachable over the public internet. If a client asks for a full endpoint path, use the one shown in your RampedUp account. Every successful skill result draws down your credits.
