A Fresh Take on Identity Resolution

· 1 min read

Most identity resolution companies use “household” consumer data meaning everyone who lives in the house is associated together. As an example, Wife / Husband / Children all live at 123 Main Street and all their email addresses and mobile phones are pooled together because the share the address. It’s created to show consumer data about the household like new mover, high net worth, new credit card, children below 5,and so on. The issue is when you attempt to append B2B data to a “household” consumer file, you most likely aren’t getting the person you want within the household. This might work for businesses that only need a household append, but our B2B / B2C data is connected at the person level.

We have 110 million professionals associated with a personal email address. Customer use our Append API for identity resolution by submitting an (MD5 hashed) email for the professional attributes of the individual. Since our data is sourced at the contact level, it will never be associated with other members of the household.

We do, however, associate people together by their employer. We know the IP address on 40 Million business domains linked to 300 million employees globally. When entering an IP address on our Search API, a customer can view the current employees associated with that IP address and limit the results to the location, department, and level. Our version of reverse IP look-up not only provides the company details of an IP address, but the employees of the company most likely searching for a B2B solution.

Whether using the Append API or our Search API, we will have professional contact details with email, phone, local office address and a rich firmographic profile of the company. We flag records that have recently changed jobs – since new executives bring new initiatives and technologies. You can also see the technologies the company uses to customize competitive or complementary messaging.

Think of RampedUp as a different kind of identity resolution partner.
