How do I set up and search for Alerts?

Combine search criteria to target the alerts you want, filter by contact requirements, and save a search to get notified.

RampedUp Company Alerts let you monitor news events about the companies and people you care about. You set up an alert by combining search criteria — the more you add, the more targeted your results — and you can save a search to be notified when new matches appear. Here is what you can search on.

What you can search on

  • Alert Types — choose from the full list of alert types.
  • Article Title Keywords — search for terms outside of the alert types.
  • Country — select from the full list of countries.
  • States — entered one-off.
  • Cities — entered one-off.
  • Zip Codes — entered one-off.
  • Company Names — entered one-off.
  • Employee Sizes — select from the full list of size bands.
  • Revenue Bands — select from the full list of revenue bands.
  • Company Types — select from the full list of ownership statuses.
  • Company Industries — select from the full list of industries.
  • Company URLs — import your target accounts, customers, or competitors.
  • Alert Date Range — a drop-down of day, week, month, or quarter.
  • New Hire Type — internal promotion or external hire.

Contact requirements

Unique to most Company Alerts, RampedUp provides the names of the people quoted in the article, the quotes themselves, and their contact details and email address. You can filter results to show only alerts where we have one or all of the following on the associated contacts:

  • Email Required
  • Name Required
  • Quote Required

Setting up email notifications

You create one by saving the search criteria within the Personnel alert type, then checking the Email Notification button. That enables the system to send you an email when a new hire who fits your saved criteria is announced in a company press release. The email notification goes out once a day, but the alerts database itself is refreshed every 15 minutes, powered by 25 newswires and PR feeds. While this data will make its way into the contact database, most new hires are first seen here.
