In terms of company records, we added 156,604 new companies this month bringing our total to 87,724,977. Last month we introduced our company family tree and this month we have grown it. We now have 12,473,082 company records that have an entity_type of affiliate or subsidiary. Here are all the types and their definitions:
- Ultimate Parent: The Ultimate Parent distinction is given to entities that have a Parent with a Subsidiary in their corporate family tree.
- Parent: These entities own a Subsidiary company or have Affiliate company records assigned to them.
- Subsidiary: Subsidiaries are legally unique entities owned by a Parent. Subsidiaries usually have a unique name or website.
- Affiliate: Affiliates are not legally unique entities that share a website with their Parent. Affiliates can be a regional office, an acquired company, or a recognized brand within a company.
Our next expansion with the company family tree will be to provide more granularity to Affiliates by sharing the source of their affiliation. We want to expose linkages between websites and web properties via redirects, email hosts, and shared social media handles. If you are interested in learning more, please let us know.
Lastly, we have a new product release to announce: Email Intelligence. Email Intelligence is a tool that will allow our customers to tap into our email exhaust database to validate their own email addresses. Our email cache repository is an enormous and ever-growing database that we use to validate the 175 million email addresses in our contact database. Below are some of the main signals:
- Email Delivery: We receive the delivery status of tens millions of email addresses used in marketing campaigns. We provide the IP Address of the the opens and clicks then promote them to Valid. Hard bounces are assigned an Invalid status.
- Web Source Emails: RampedUp scans tens of millions of corporate web pages each month for business intelligence. When we find an email address and the address is Catch All, we assign the Deterministic status and provide the source. The Web Source is a great place to find additional contact details as well.
- Authentication: Microsoft and Google provide the ability to authenticate users for their Office and Workspace products. Authentication makes an API call to their Active Directory to identify Valid email addresses. This method is the primary resource for validating Catch All email addresses
- SMTP Negotiation: This is the traditional validation feature that results in a VALID or INVALID response as a result of communicating with the recipient's email server.
